The One Thing You Can Control

Many people struggle with control. I have. It is essential to differentiate between what you can control and what you can’t.

If you don’t, you will spiral out of control into an abyss of confusion.

That thing that happened last year, last month, last week, yesterday, an hour ago; you have no control over.

If you keep dwelling on it, you will carry that bad energy into the present and therefore the future.

Many people do this shit for decades, wasting their lives.

So, how do we overcome this? By putting our attention on what we CAN control.

The Present Moment

Worry and stress kills people far before what they are stressing and worrying about can get a chance to.

Don’t be like these people.

There is only that area of your perception that you can control, your attention in the present moment. There is no where else your attention lies anyway.

The past? You’re focussing in the past IN the present moment. When you do this you are shading in the present with death. The past is dead, it is just a memory that shifts depending on the type of mood you are in.

It also serves no purpose at all.

Put your attention squarely in the present moment. There is no where else you exist.

When you focus on the future, you are being delusional. You’re not psychic, there’s no way for you to know how everything is going to turn out.

Yeah, sure you’ve made some educated guesses over time but how many more times have you thought something was going to happen and the exact opposite happened?

It is impossible for you to consider all variables.

Again, put your attention squarely in the present moment.

A New You

As you read this, you think that this version of you will exist forever. It won’t.

Next year you will be an entirely different person.

You will talk different, walk different, your money will be different.

Don’t think that this version of you will last forever. It won’t.

I promise you that.

Who do you want to be? Be that person.

You don’t like who you are now? Change it.

Imagine, you are earning 20x more than you are currently earning. Living in a better neighborhood. You got rid of that old beater.

This life is available to you, only if you log into the present moment to access it.

Every possibility awaits you NOW, in the present moment.

It isn’t in the past. It isn’t in the future, it is now.
