Obsession

People make success so complicated.

I like to keep it simple.

Obsession is simple.

Visualize and get to work.

People will tell you to “slow down” or “you’re going to burn yourself out.” But when you’re doing what you love, you can’t help but to do the work.

When your life isn’t what you want it to be, how else are you suppose to behave?

I only see one way to get to where you want, Obsession.

When I read “Think and Grow Rich” by Napoleon Hill 7 years ago, one term stuck with me, Burning Desire.

I was 25 years old at the time, broke as fuck, living in a basement apartment.

I thought to myself “I can do that.”

I look at obsession as jumping into a portal that transports you to where you want to be.

I am in the portal now.

I can’t hear anyone, see anyone, feel anyone.

If you were standing right next to me and asked me a question, I wouldn’t be able to hear you.

The obsession of building something greater than myself, a legacy is my obsession.

I’m not sure how I’m going to get there but I know the fuel of burning desire through damn near sociopathic obsession is key.

Everyone I look up to is obsessed. They have those wide eyes that make them appear as if they are staring far far away into some distant vision that only they can see.

If they don’t have the wide eyes I don’t listen to them. I simply walk away.

The ones who don’t have the wide eyes tell you that you’re crazy or tell you how to do what you’re trying to do.

Two things

  1. If they haven’t gotten to where you want to be, don’t listen to them.
  2. The only people you listen to are the people with the wide eyes(if they can break their catatonic trancelike gaze for one goddamn minute to tell you some little technical tip)

The truth is, no one is coming to save you.

No one can tell you how to achieve the vision in YOUR minds eye.

Obsession and your intuition are the only guiding forces to success.

If anyone else tells you differently, they’re trying to sell you lies.

You see, everyone is unique. There’s no way that the method that worked for someone else will work for too.

This is why you have to get obsessed. Pour yourself into what you do.

The secrets will reveal themselves to you.

Remember, obsession is the only thing that counts.

Don’t tell me any different.

Your friend.
